About the Role We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our dynamic and innovative healthcare environment in Auckland. In this permanent, full-time role, you will play a vital part in supporting life-saving diagnoses and patient care for thousands of individuals each week. Our Radiology Department is equipped with four state-of-the-art MRI scanners: - A 1.5T Siemens Sola scanner at Auckland City Hospital, primarily for cardiac imaging and both inpatient and outpatient work. - A 3T Siemens Vida scanner at Auckland City Hospital, focused on acute and inpatient care. - A 3T Siemens Skyra scanner at Greenlane Clinical Centre for outpatient examinations. - A 3T Siemens Skyra at Starship Children's Hospital, catering to a mix of pediatric and some adult cases. Our services primarily serve: - 60% Inpatients/Emergency - 31% Outpatients - 8% GPs - 1% Other DHBs Our Radiology Department includes four major specialist units: Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children's Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre, and National Women's Health. We are proud to have a dedicated team of over 350 professionals, including MITs, MRI Technologists, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, Radiologists, Nurses, and Clerical staff. The Scale of Our Impact: - We provide a 7-day radiology service across Auckland City and Starship Children's Hospitals. - We store 40 terabytes of imaging data, maintaining nine years of diagnostic history. - We train 48 MIT students annually in a collaborative and supportive environment. - We perform around 800 procedures and produce 50,000 images every day. About You We are looking for passionate and skilled MRI Technologists who excel in high-volume, high-tech environments and are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. You will be expected to work shifts from 7 AM to 8:30 PM, Monday to Sunday, across three sites: Adult Radiology at Auckland City Hospital, Pediatric Radiology at Starship Hospital, and our Outpatient Clinic at Greenlane Clinical Centre. Important Skills To be considered for this role, you must be registered with the New Zealand MRT Board and possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Experience in MRI is essential, and your ability to build and maintain effective working relationships in a multidisciplinary environment will be crucial to your success.
