About the Role
We are currently looking for Aluminium Fabricators to support our various projects across New Zealand. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting job sheet drawings and specifications, ensuring that all work meets our high standards and is completed on schedule. Flexibility regarding work locations is essential, as you may be required to travel to different sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Studying, understanding, and checking job sheet drawings to determine requirements
- Completing work in alignment with the job sheet drawings and the Factory Manager's schedule
- Following company procedures for prepping, cutting, assembly, fixing hardware, glazing, and finishing products
- Checking and maintaining tools and equipment
- Keeping a tidy and productive work area
- Reporting maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Collaborating with colleagues and assisting with moving frames and deliveries
- Conducting stock takes and maintaining the cleanliness of the workplace
- Performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks as necessary
Requirements
To be a successful candidate, you should possess the following:
- Preferably at least one year of experience in metal fabrication or a related field; however, we welcome candidates with minimal experience who are eager to learn
- Strong time management skills and a commitment to developing your skills within the industry
- A sound understanding of health and safety procedures
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
Benefits
We offer competitive pay conditions, with a minimum of $25.00 per hour, increasing to a maximum of $30.00 per hour based on experience. A minimum of 30 hours of work is guaranteed each week.
Location
You will have the opportunity to work in various locations throughout New Zealand, including Auckland, Northland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Gisborne, Whanganui-Manawatu, Wellington, Marlborough, Nelson-Tasman, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland. This is a permanent, full-time position.
