About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Interventional Cardiologist to become part of our established and progressive team based at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to engage in a diverse and fulfilling career while embracing the chance to innovate and grow as a leader. About the Team/Service
As a successful applicant, you will be welcomed into a dynamic team of 20 Cardiologists and 6 cardiac surgeons. Our facilities include four cardiac catheterization labs, one of which is a custom-built hybrid lab equipped with advanced technology for real-time fusion imaging. Our department is recognized as a leading national center for structural heart disease intervention, and we are actively developing a groundbreaking cardiac imaging service across the Te Manawa Taki region.
About You
Ideal candidates will have completed advanced training in Cardiology (FRACP or equivalent). We are particularly interested in attracting cardiologists with extensive training and experience in complex coronary interventions. Experience in CT coronary angiography and echocardiography will be considered an advantage.
