About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Abdominal/Pelvic Radiologist to join our Radiology department at Waikato Hospital. In this full-time position, you will be interpreting and reporting on a variety of imaging studies, including CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, and MRI.
Your role will involve handling a diverse range of complex clinical cases within your areas of expertise, such as hepatobiliary/pancreas, urology, gynecology, and gastrointestinal diseases. Additionally, your responsibilities will include general radiology and acute imaging. You will actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings, mentor registrars, and contribute to maintaining high standards within the department.

- Supervising and teaching registrars
- Participating in oncology multidisciplinary meetings
About the Team/Service
Waikato Hospital is a tertiary training hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Centre that serves the entire Waikato region, making it one of the busiest hospitals in New Zealand. Our Radiology Department conducts approximately 200,000 examinations annually, with a strong emphasis on Emergency, Trauma imaging, and Oncology.

About You
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- Experience in Abdominal Radiology
- Experience in CT Colonography
- Experience in Male and Female Pelvic MRI (OG Imaging preferred)
- Eligibility for Registration as a Specialist Diagnostic Radiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- A subspecialty fellowship or a keen interest in body imaging (preferred)
