    About the Company Waikato Hospital is a leading tertiary training hospital and Level 1 Trauma Centre serving the Waikato region, one of the busiest areas in New Zealand. Our Radiology Department performs approximately 200,000 examinations annually, with a strong emphasis on Emergency, Trauma imaging, and Oncology. About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced General Radiologist to join our Radiology department at Waikato Hospital. In this full-time, permanent position, you will be responsible for interpreting and reporting on various imaging studies, including CT, Ultrasound, and X-Ray. Your role will involve handling a diverse range of complex clinical cases in general radiology, covering both outpatient and acute imaging. As part of your responsibilities, you will participate in multidisciplinary meetings, supervise and teach registrars, and contribute to the continuous development of high standards within the department. Key Responsibilities - Reporting on radiologic studies - Supervising and teaching registrars - Participation in subspecialty multidisciplinary meetings Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the ability to assess and make effective decisions under pressure in complex situations, using your judgment to solve problems. You should also be familiar with utilizing data to enhance quality, performance, and growth. Candidates must be eligible for Registration as a Specialist Diagnostic Radiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand, with a subspecialty fellowship preferred.
