About the Role We are currently seeking a Mower Operator to join our team in Taihape on a fixed-term basis. Our Downer South division has earned a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work throughout the country. In this role, you will primarily operate a tractor/mower to maintain roadside vegetation within the Rangitīkei District, based out of our Taihape depot. This fixed-term position will last from October 2025 to the end of April 2026, with the potential for continued employment beyond this project. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - A physically fit and motivated individual. - Previous experience with agricultural equipment is highly desirable. - A Class 1 license with a wheels endorsement is required. - A strong enjoyment of outdoor work and a commitment to maintaining physical fitness. - Reliability and a strong work ethic. - A commitment to safe work practices. - Willingness to assist with call-out work as needed. - A positive attitude and a "can do" approach.
