About the Role We are currently seeking a Mower Operator to join our team in Taihape on a fixed-term basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within our respected Downer South division, which has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work across the country. As a Mower Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate a tractor or digger for the maintenance of roadside vegetation in the Rangitīkei District from our Taihape depot. Please note that this is a fixed-term position for the contract season running from October 2025 to the end of April 2026. There is potential for further opportunities within Downer after this project. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to be physically fit and motivated. Key qualifications include: - Experience with agricultural equipment is highly desirable - A Class 1 license with a wheels endorsement is required - A genuine enjoyment of outdoor work and physical activity - Reliability and a strong work ethic - Commitment to safe work practices - Willingness to assist with call-out work when necessary - A positive, 'can do' attitude Benefits We believe in providing our employees with the tools they need to succeed.
