About the Role We are currently seeking a Mower Operator to join our team in Marton on a fixed-term basis. The Downer South division is well-respected and has a strong track record for delivering high-quality work throughout the country. In this role, you will primarily operate a tractor or digger to maintain roadside vegetation in the Rangitīkei District, working from our Marton depot. This position is fixed-term for the contract season, running from October to the end of April. There is potential for continued employment with Downer beyond this project, and we encourage you to explore other opportunities within our organization for long-term career growth. Requirements We are looking for a motivated and physically fit individual who meets the following criteria: - Experience with agricultural equipment is highly desirable - A Class 1 license with wheels endorsement is required - A passion for working outdoors and maintaining physical fitness - Reliability and a strong work ethic - Commitment to safe work practices - Willingness to assist with call-out work as needed - A positive "can do" attitude Benefits At Downer, we are dedicated to providing our employees with the tools and environment they need to succeed.
