About the Role We are currently seeking a Mower Operator to join our team in Marton on a fixed-term basis. This role is part of the highly respected Downer South division, known for its commitment to delivering high-quality work throughout the country. The primary responsibility of this position will be to operate a tractor/mower to maintain roadside vegetation in the Rangitīkei District from our Marton depot. This fixed-term role will last from October through the end of April, with the possibility of continued employment with Downer beyond this contract season. Requirements We are looking for a physically fit and motivated individual who meets the following criteria: - Experience with agricultural equipment is highly desirable. - A Class 1 license with a wheels endorsement is required. - Enjoyment of outdoor work and maintaining physical fitness. - Reliability and a strong work ethic. - A commitment to safe work practices. - Willingness to assist with call-out work as needed. - A positive attitude and a "can-do" spirit.
