About the Role We are currently seeking a Mower Operator for a fixed-term position based in Taihape. This role is part of our Downer South division, which is well-regarded for delivering high-quality work throughout the country. The primary responsibility will be operating a tractor or digger to manage roadside vegetation within the Rangitīkei District from our Taihape depot. This position is fixed-term, running from October 2025 to the end of April 2026, with the possibility of further opportunities within Downer afterward. Requirements To excel in this role, you should be a physically fit and motivated individual. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: - Experience with agricultural equipment is highly desirable. - A Class 1 license with a wheels endorsement is required. - An enjoyment of outdoor work and maintaining physical fitness. - Reliability and a strong work ethic. - A commitment to safe work practices. - Flexibility to assist with call-out work as needed. - A positive, can-do attitude.
