About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated cleaner to join our Environmental Services Department in a casual role. This position does not guarantee fixed hours or days, as it will involve covering for sick leave and annual leave. Flexibility is essential, as you will need to be available for public holidays and night shifts.

As part of a small, fast-paced team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness of Ashburton Hospital facilities, providing exceptional cleaning services every day of the year.
The starting salary for this position is $27.80 per hour, in line with the E tu Service and Food Workers collective agreement.
You will be responsible for:
- Completing all cleaning tasks to a high standard
- Ensuring daily schedules and task lists are completed within the set time frame
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Matching service requirements to clinical needs
- Maintaining equipment and operating it according to specifications
- Utilizing the correct chemicals and dilutions for cleaning

About You
Skills and Experience
- High level of patient confidentiality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Effective time management skills
- Experience as a cleaner, particularly in a healthcare setting, is preferred but not essential
We will provide full training to all new staff who join our team.
