About the Role We are currently seeking Psychiatrists for both full-time and part-time positions within our East Community team in Christchurch. Otautahi Christchurch offers a vibrant environment suitable for everyone, whether you are a nature lover, adventure seeker, foodie, arts enthusiast, family-oriented individual, young professional, or career explorer. In this role, you will be part of our Adult General Service, working within an integrated system. You will encounter a variety of clinical presentations, contributing to crisis management, inpatient care, community assessments, and ongoing patient care. Experience in Adult Mental Health is essential, with a background in inpatient, outpatient, alcohol and drug services, and rehabilitation preferred. You will collaborate within forward-thinking, multidisciplinary teams that prioritize quality and professionalism. Each day will present new challenges and opportunities. As a Psychiatrist, you will leverage your specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to provide innovative acute and long-term care tailored to individual needs. You will play a key role in our established multidisciplinary teams and have opportunities to contribute to the development of client-centered care frameworks. To be eligible for this position, candidates must be able to obtain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
