About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Distribution Supervisor to join our team and oversee our LPG cylinder delivery operations. In this role, you will support the Depot Manager and collaborate with another Distribution Supervisor to lead the Fill Shed team. Your primary responsibilities will include managing day-to-day operations, ensuring safety compliance, and providing outstanding service to both residential and commercial customers.
This position offers a variety of tasks, from scheduling third-party vehicles and overseeing driver compliance to participating in filling duties as needed. You will also cross-train with your fellow supervisor to ensure seamless coverage and maintain efficient operations at the depot.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
- A strong leadership ability and experience in team support
- An eye for safety, efficiency, and compliance
- Skills in scheduling and operational planning
- A willingness to engage in hands-on work when necessary
- A preference for working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- A desire to make a meaningful impact and grow within the industry
To be a successful candidate, you should have:
- More than two years of experience in the Gas Industry or a related field with logistics/distribution experience at a supervisory level
- A minimum full Class 1 license and the ability to drive a manual transmission
- A Dangerous Goods license (preferred)
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting
- A strong commitment to Health and Safety, with knowledge of compliance processes to meet statutory requirements
- Proven leadership and relationship-building skills, along with strong decision-making, problem-solving, and communication abilities
