We are looking for a dedicated Deli Cook Second in Charge to join our team and help us maintain our high standards. About the Role In the role of Deli Cook Second in Charge, you will work closely with the Deli Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure that our food preparation, presentation, and customer service consistently meet our high standards. You will be instrumental in coaching the team, maintaining food safety protocols, and contributing to our inviting deli offerings. Key Responsibilities - Assist in managing the daily operations of the Deli - Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality deli products, both hot and cold - Support and lead a small team to ensure smooth operations - Maintain food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards - Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste - Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming deli experience About You We are looking for candidates with proven cooking experience in a deli, café, kitchen, or food retail setting. A strong understanding of food safety practices is essential, and having NZQA Unit Standards is a bonus. Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred, as is familiarity with SAP. We value reliability, energy, and a positive attitude, and we seek individuals who are team players and can work flexible hours, including weekends.
