About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our collaborative team within the head and neck service. In this role, you will provide high-quality care aimed at improving health outcomes for our local population, which includes a significant number of Māori and Pasifika individuals.
This position offers the flexibility of part-time or full-time work, ranging from 64 to 80 hours every fortnight (0.8 to 1.0 FTE). You will have the opportunity to develop subspecialist interests that align with the current services offered by our department.
About the Team/Service/Location
Our team is well-supported by a registrar, a house officer, and a clinical specialty nurse, with plans to add another registered nurse for further support. Our department is equipped to handle all aspects of modern head and neck healthcare.
We maintain strong connections with allied health departments and other specialties, as well as regional and tertiary services. This collaboration ensures that we can provide a comprehensive package of care. Additionally, we are involved in medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

About You
To be considered for this role, applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Candidates should also be a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, or have an equivalent qualification.
We are looking for individuals who possess relevant clinical experience, can demonstrate effective teamwork skills, and have a commitment to maintaining strong relationships with general practitioners and other surgeons. A dedication to continuing medical education (CME) is also essential.
