About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher in Training to join our energetic and experienced team in the preschool room, specifically supporting our 4–5 year olds as they prepare for their next learning journey. In this permanent position, you will work 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days in our tuakana (4–5 years) classroom.
As a Teacher in Training, you will collaborate with our talented kaiako, gaining valuable hands-on experience while pursuing your Level 7 ECE qualification (Bachelor or Graduate Diploma). This role will allow you to support tamariki in building independence, developing social skills, and growing their confidence in preparation for school, all while enhancing your own teaching practice.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with preschoolers aged 4–5 years and are committed to preparing them for school. A solid understanding of child-led learning and a dedication to Te Whāriki are essential. It is important that you are willing to uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi in your practice. We value enthusiasm, energy, and a strong commitment to providing quality education.
