About the Role BestStart Melling is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Certificated Teacher to join our energetic and welcoming team in the beautiful Hiwa-i-te-rangi room. In this role, you will work with our youngest tamariki, providing them with a calm and nurturing space to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Our shared outdoor area is an exciting environment featuring huts, slides, climbing boxes, a sandpit, and a mud kitchen, all designed to encourage curiosity and discovery. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Requirements We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes: - A Bachelor of Education or Diploma of Teaching at Level 7 (in Early Childhood Education or Primary) along with current Teacher Certification - Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and compliance requirements - A genuine passion for child-led learning, planning, and extending children's interests - A commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday practice - A collaborative team player who values quality teaching and meaningful relationships Benefits At BestStart, we recognize the positive impact our teachers have on children's lives.
