About the Role
As the Service Deli Manager, you will oversee the entire operation of the deli department, ensuring the highest quality of products and the professional growth of your team members. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering exceptional value to our customers every day.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Leading and mentoring a team to ensure top-tier service and product quality.
- Managing department operations, including ordering, product range, merchandising, and stock control.
- Achieving department sales, gross profit, and wage targets.
- Maintaining 100% pricing accuracy while implementing promotional activities.
- Driving innovation in product range, display, and layout to enhance customer appeal and boost sales.
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues with professionalism.
- Contributing to store-wide initiatives and collaborating effectively with other department heads.
- Acting as a key liaison between the deli department, the store leadership team, and suppliers.
- Upholding strict food safety and compliance standards.
Requirements
We are looking for a leader with a vision and a proven track record in managing high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will be confident, decisive, and dedicated to maintaining quality standards.
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management-level deli position.
- A deep understanding of food production, presentation, compliance, and quality standards.
- Proven leadership skills and a commitment to developing team members.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory systems, stock control, and gross profit drivers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- A calm and positive demeanor in a dynamic work environment.
Required qualifications include a Diploma in Applied Management (minimum level 5), Food Safety Certification, and experience with SAP.
