About the Role
We are currently seeking a part-time Support Worker for a wakeover position based in Wellington. This role involves working every Friday and Saturday from 11 PM to 7 AM the following day, totaling 36 hours every fortnight. In this position, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those you support, contributing to the well-being of the wider community.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles
- Previous experience as a Support Worker
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people
- Professionalism, honesty, and reliability as a team player with a flexible approach
- Energy and enthusiasm for teamwork
- The ability to assist with personal care tasks, including showering and dressing
- A full New Zealand Driver's License, as driving a MASH van is part of the role
- A New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing, or a commitment to obtaining one with funding from MASH Trust
