About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Social Worker based in Wellington, with the flexibility to work across Porirua, Kāpiti, and Hutt. This role is ideal for someone passionate about enhancing social work capacity within our team and supporting the professional growth of colleagues.
In this position, you will utilize your deep understanding of strengths-based practice and person-driven approaches. You will manage a small caseload while also providing support to staff across various locations. Your experience in case management will be invaluable as you work to foster positive change in the lives of older adults.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Registration with the Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) and a current annual practicing certificate
- A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work autonomously
- A full New Zealand driver's license
- Proficiency in computer use
Additionally, you should have experience and understanding in the following areas:
- Working in a Te Tiriti o Waitangi responsive organization
- Supporting older persons with cognitive impairments and other long-term conditions, including mental health and addiction issues
- Addressing elder harm and implementing trauma-informed practices
- Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary health environment with a strong community development focus
Benefits
