About the Role
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Respite Support Workers, providing support to up to six people in a crisis respite setting. Our 24/7 crisis respite service is designed to assist individuals during challenging times. Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing medication support
- Helping individuals regain their mental health and independence
- Maintaining housekeeping standards
- Taking comprehensive notes and ensuring effective handovers
- Preparing healthy and inviting meals
- Advocating for the individuals we support
Roles are available for shifts from Sunday to Thursday, 11 PM to 7:30 AM.
The Team
In this role, you will report to the Team Coach and work alongside our Pathways Wellington Respite Service teams, all united in our mission to support those experiencing mental illness.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a caring nature and work in a recovery-focused manner.
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Hold a current full driver's license
- Have a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Possess the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or an equivalent qualification, or be currently studying towards this qualification
Please note that this qualification is a requirement for all staff working in a respite service.
