About the Role
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers in a crisis respite setting, where we support up to six tangata whai ora. Our crisis respite service operates 24/7, and your role will involve various responsibilities, including:
- Providing medication support
- Assisting individuals in regaining their mental health and independence
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping
- Taking comprehensive notes and facilitating handovers
- Preparing healthy and inviting meals
- Advocating for the individuals we support
We currently have shifts available from Friday to Monday, 3 PM to 11:30 PM.
The Team
In this role, you will report to the Team Coach and collaborate with our Pathways Wellington Respite Service teams, all united by the common goal of supporting individuals experiencing mental illness.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess a caring nature and work in a recovery-focused manner. Requirements for this position include:
- A current full driver's license
- A current first aid certificate or the willingness to obtain one
- The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognized equivalent, or you should be currently studying towards this qualification
Please note that all employees working in a respite service must hold the required qualification.
