About the Role
We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Permanent Relief Team (PRT). This team plays a crucial role in providing support across all types of shifts, including days, afternoons, evenings, overnight (awake night shifts), split shifts, and weekends.
In this position, you will significantly impact the lives of people with learning disabilities by assisting them with everyday activities. These activities may include shopping, cooking, household tasks, personal care, and engaging in community participation.
What We're Looking For
We are searching for candidates who possess a genuine passion for supporting others, along with flexibility, compassion, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have:
- An NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 (or equivalent) or at least one year of relevant experience
- A full New Zealand driver's licence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- A positive and respectful approach to working with individuals with learning disabilities
What We Offer
We provide competitive hourly rates based on qualifications, as well as an additional $2.00 per hour for awake night shifts (11:00 pm to 7:00 am). Our commitment to your growth includes ongoing training and development, with support to complete NZ Certificates in Health and Wellbeing (Levels 2 and 3).
We also offer fully funded First Aid training, along with Safe Manual Handling, Falls Prevention, and Dysphagia training.
