About the Role
To strengthen our team, we are looking to hire three Truck Drivers. We welcome applications from candidates with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience or those who possess a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification or equivalent certifications. A valid driving license is also a requirement for this position.
Vacancy Details
Type of Employment: Permanent and full-time
Hours: We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week, with maximum hours reaching up to 60 during peak workloads.
Workdays: Our work schedule runs from Monday to Saturday, with a rotating roster between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Place of Work: Positions are available in the Auckland Region, Bay of Plenty, and Waikato.
We are dedicated to maintaining a drug and alcohol-free workplace. A negative drug test result will be a condition of any employment offer. Additionally, applicants should not have any past or present criminal convictions.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Follow instructions to deliver or pick up materials, goods, and equipment regularly.
- Operate vehicles into position for loading and unloading.
- Utilize lifting and tipping devices to load and unload vehicles.
- Comply with safety requirements while driving, parking, loading, and unloading vehicles.
- Conduct routine checks of vehicles to ensure safety on the road.
- Ensure load weights do not exceed the maximum limits specified for the vehicle.
- Safely store and cover loaded materials, goods, and equipment to protect them from damage or loss.
- Carefully verify loading documents, check loading conditions, and obtain supporting documentation for delivery.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $28.00 to $35.00 per hour.
