About the Role
We are seeking five Tipper Truck Drivers to join our operations in Auckland. In this role, you will be essential in transporting construction materials, particularly asphalt and aggregate, to and from project sites. Successful candidates will be responsible for operating our Class 4 tipper trucks while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.
The hourly rate for this position is $32, with guaranteed weekly hours of 30 and a maximum of 70 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 4 tipper trucks in compliance with road and company regulations.
- Load, transport, and unload asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials at designated locations.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including timesheets and delivery logs.
- Collaborate effectively with site supervisors, dispatchers, and other team members to meet project timelines.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness and perform basic maintenance on the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth on-site operations.
Key Requirements
- A New Zealand Full Class 4 driver’s license or equivalent.
- Knowledge of road regulations and heavy vehicle operation.
- Physically fit and capable of handling repetitive tasks, including manual unloading if necessary.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, weekends, and potential overtime.
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance with company and legal standards.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
