About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiologist to join our team in Gisborne, New Zealand. In this permanent, full-time position, you will have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of our patients while enjoying a competitive salary, relocation support, and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct face-to-face patient clinics, providing comprehensive assessments and management plans for a variety of cardiac conditions.
- Participate in echo reading sessions, contributing to the diagnostic and treatment processes.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and general medicine teams to manage complex cardiac cases.
- Provide in-hospital consultations, addressing both acute and ongoing cardiac needs.
- Engage with Waikato, our tertiary center, for service development and support, ensuring best practices are maintained in our region.
- If you are an interventional cardiologist, there is an opportunity to maintain your interventional skills by performing procedures at a partnering hospital.
Work Hours:
This role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with no on-call or weekend responsibilities.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A medical degree and board certification in Cardiology.
- Experience managing complex cardiac cases, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- A desire to work in a community-focused environment and address the specific health needs of the population.
