About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled bricklayer to join our established crew in Central Christchurch. This position involves working on a variety of residential and commercial projects. The pay rate for this position ranges from $33 to $38 per hour, depending on your experience. What You'll Be Doing In this role, your responsibilities will include: - Laying bricks, blocks, and pavers for walls, fences, and other structures. - Reading and interpreting plans and construction drawings with accuracy. - Mixing and applying mortar to create clean and durable finishes. - Cutting bricks to fit corners, arches, and other detailed work. - Maintaining a high standard of workmanship across all tasks. - Collaborating with a supportive on-site team to achieve project goals. What We're Looking For We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: - Proven experience as a bricklayer, with a strong track record in either residential or commercial projects. - Ability to read plans and work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality. - Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on craftsmanship. - A Site Safe ticket is preferred. - Own tools and reliable transportation are required. - Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test. - Availability to start immediately.
