About the Role
We are currently seeking a Cook to join our dedicated WellFood Department at Hillmorton Hospital. In this permanent part-time role, you will work 24 hours per week, with shifts scheduled from Monday to Sunday. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the community by preparing meals for our patients (turoro) and their families (whanau).
As part of our culinary team, you will be responsible for meeting the dietary needs of each patient while maintaining the highest standards. You will follow standardized recipes and use your creative flair to present meals that we can be proud of, all while ensuring a clean and tidy working environment. The starting salary for this position is $29.25 per hour, in line with the Etu Multi-Employer Collective Agreement.
About You
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual who is flexible and passionate about food. You will be responsible for adhering to our Food Control Plan, following Health New Zealand's code of conduct, and complying with our Health and Safety procedures.
We welcome applicants who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are quick learners, and have a friendly, positive attitude. The ability to manage time effectively while paying attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
