About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Farm Labourer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with a variety of tasks essential to the smooth operation of our farm. Your responsibilities will include stripping equipment from the sheds and thoroughly cleaning it with chemicals, grading and transferring chicks, and caring for various equipment such as crates, tractors, and water blasters. You will also be involved in culling and catching chickens.
Responsibilities
Your main duties will consist of:
- Assisting with daily labouring tasks as mentioned above.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the premises.
- Adhering to animal welfare guidelines to ensure the proper treatment of all farm animals.
- Collaborating effectively with farm supervisors and other team members.
- Reporting any issues related to farm operations to the appropriate personnel.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualities:
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail to uphold our high standards of farm maintenance.
- An understanding of animal welfare principles and practices.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- A willingness to engage in hands-on work and tackle dirty tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
