Extrastaff is a Labour Hire Company that specializes in providing skilled labor for various industries. We are currently experiencing growth and are looking to expand our team of Scaffolders across New Zealand.
About the Role
We are hiring full-time Scaffolders for permanent positions. We are seeking organized and trustworthy individuals who take pride in their workmanship. If you are motivated and result-driven, we encourage you to apply. The site location for these roles will be determined based on project demand.
Pay & Benefits
The hourly pay ranges from a minimum of $26.00 to a maximum of $40.00, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. We provide personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools, and there are opportunities to work on significant infrastructure and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for building and erecting scaffolding and working platforms for construction projects. This includes constructing stands and tiered seating for public events such as concerts or sporting events.
You will inspect areas requiring scaffolding and calculate the necessary materials. Your duties will involve unloading scaffolding components, fitting tubing and braces to form frameworks, and securing ladders, rails, and other attachments.
Additionally, you will check and maintain scaffolding equipment, inspect scaffolding structures for safety, and dismantle scaffolding once the job is complete. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of two years of relevant scaffolding experience. We value friendly personalities with strong time management skills and an excellent work ethic.
A commitment to learning and developing your skills within the industry is essential, along with a sound understanding of health and safety procedures. Reliability and hard work are crucial traits for our team members.
Nationwide Opportunity and Travel
While this role is listed in Taranaki, we are recruiting for positions that will be deployed across all regions of New Zealand, depending on project requirements.
Regions include:
North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington.
South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
We welcome applicants from any of these regions and require flexibility for travel or relocation within the country. Relocation costs will be covered by our company.
