We are pleased to partner with a well-respected name in the New Zealand manufacturing sector to find a skilled Maintenance Planner for their facilities located in either Timaru or Napier. About the Role
As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our manufacturing operations run smoothly. You will have a strong background in the food processing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry, with experience in developing and managing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with contractors and suppliers, as well as supporting our internal teams at various levels. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, you will assist with engineering projects, promote health and safety practices, and produce clear and concise reports and maintenance plans. The ultimate goal is to minimize plant downtime, ensuring our products are delivered on time.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A proven track record in plant reliability and preventative maintenance methodologies
- Experience in developing preventative maintenance strategies and programs
- Expertise in leading Root Cause Analysis training and technical/trades teams
- Strong inventory management skills
Additionally, candidates should possess:
- A relevant engineering or electrical qualification, or be trade qualified
- Knowledge of engineering practices and policies
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) software and its implementation
- Familiarity with legal and legislative compliance requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- New Zealand work visa, residency, or citizenship
