About the Company
At Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital, we are proud to be part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. We are committed to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and aim to build a health system that serves all New Zealanders effectively. Our organization is dedicated to providing excellent healthcare, and we prioritize a diverse and inclusive workforce to better understand and meet the needs of our community.
About the Role
We are currently looking for a Radiologist to join our team, with the opportunity for either part-time or full-time positions, averaging between 64 to 80 hours per fortnight (0.8-1.0 FTE). Our local health sector is experiencing innovative growth, with new public and private imaging facilities being developed. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, oncology, and radiological services.
In this role, you will engage in regular multidisciplinary team meetings while delivering high-quality care. You will also be involved in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, the development of new services through innovation, and teaching. Once you have settled into your role, you may also have the option to work in the private sector, which we fully support.
About the Team/Service/Location
You will be joining a collaborative team of up to eleven professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care and improving health equity and outcomes for our local population, which includes a significant number of Māori and Pasifika individuals. Our team participates in a regional training program and currently includes one registrar. There are ample opportunities for you to develop subspecialist interests that align with the unmet needs within our community.
We also maintain close ties with other imaging departments and specialties, as well as regional and tertiary services, to ensure a comprehensive package of care for our patients. Living in Hawkes Bay offers an excellent work-life balance, with access to beautiful beaches, outdoor adventures, great schools, and stunning wineries.
