About the Role We are looking for a Class 4 driver who is ready to take on new challenges and contribute positively to our operations. As a Mainfreight driver, you will play a critical role in our team, helping us to continuously improve our services and exceed customer expectations. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Conducting point-to-point pick-ups and deliveries - Scanning pick-up and delivery notes - Loading using a fork hoist - Planning your runs efficiently - Providing exceptional customer service - Collaborating effectively with team members - Performing day-to-day vehicle maintenance, including truck washing While it is preferred that applicants are based in Timaru, we welcome those who are ready to commit to this opportunity. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to: - Hold a Class 4 licence and demonstrate your driving knowledge and confidence - Possess a Dangerous Goods licence and Fork Hoist Licence (these can be arranged for the right candidate) - Have a minimum of 12 months driving experience in New Zealand, with familiarity in South Canterbury We are looking for individuals with the following skills: - People Skills: You are an excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients. - Time Management: You thrive under pressure, effectively managing multiple tasks while remaining organized and focused. - Adaptability: You are quick to learn and excel in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
