About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced Class 5 Operator to join our skilled and dynamic team in Timaru. In this role, you will operate a well-maintained fleet while handling general freight, with a preference for candidates with experience in steel and interisland transport. As part of our team, you will be expected to maintain a clean and tidy cab at all times, reflecting our high standards of vehicle care. Flexibility to adapt to business and seasonal needs is essential, and your focus on safety and maintenance will ensure we meet the expectations of our loyal customers and suppliers. Work Pattern This is a full-time, permanent position with a regular roster. You will work day shifts from Monday to Friday, with availability required every second weekend. Shifts typically range from 10 to 12 hours. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: - A Class 5 Licence (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of driving experience. - F and DG endorsements, along with an OSH Certificate (preferred but not essential). - Experience with flatdeck operations (preferred but not essential). - A willingness and ability to learn new technology, showcasing your adaptability. - A passion for teamwork and customer service; we encourage you to share your favorite moments in this area.
