About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Water Technician to join our high-performing team in Queenstown. This full-time, permanent position offers approximately 40-60 hours of work per week for the right candidate. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the installation, maintenance, and repair of water reticulation systems in the Southern Lakes area and Central Otago.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators and other machinery to facilitate site preparation and system installation.
- Install and maintain stormwater and wastewater pipelines in accordance with engineering specifications and environmental standards.
- Lead small teams on-site, coordinating daily tasks and addressing technical challenges.
- Conduct inspections and performance testing to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Perform repairs on water tanks, pressure systems, and confined space assets.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A Level 3 or Level 4 Pipeline Construction and Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience operating excavators and other related machinery.
- A Class 2 driver’s license (preferred), along with Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers endorsements.
- The ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
