Our client operates multiple licensed sites across Australia and New Zealand, authorized by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia and the Ministry of Health in New Zealand. About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high-tech equipment, including cyclotrons, synthesizers, hot cells, and quality control instruments, ensuring they perform at optimal levels. You will work both independently and collaboratively with a technical team to maintain uptime and compliance across our operational sites.
Your duties will include supporting operational staff during production issues, assisting with equipment commissioning and installation, and participating in the development and execution of our preventative and planned maintenance program (PPMP). You will also update and maintain the Fiix Computerized Maintenance Management System, assist the Principal Engineer and Service Manager with system monitoring and diagnostics, and conduct routine troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics. Additionally, you will help with facility maintenance and compliance checks while liaising with contracted engineers and external service providers to ensure adherence to company procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess a trade qualification or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. Experience in maintaining industrial, laboratory, or medical instrumentation is essential, along with strong technical problem-solving and fault-finding abilities. Familiarity with workplace health and safety (WHS) and technical safety protocols is highly desirable.
You should have experience operating hand and power tools, as well as using a multimeter and reading circuit diagrams, which would be advantageous. A mechanical aptitude with a strong ability to repair and fix equipment is necessary, along with a proactive, customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
