We are currently seeking a full-time Orthoptist for a fixed-term position to cover parental leave at Christchurch Hospital. This role will last for up to 12 months and involves working weekdays from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
As an Orthoptist, your responsibilities will include the investigation, diagnosis, and management of both paediatric and adult patients. Additionally, you will engage in general ophthalmic clinic duties.
We are looking for a candidate who may be a recent graduate or an experienced Orthoptist with a solid clinical background. About You
You will bring experience with a variety of technical equipment, which will facilitate your seamless integration into our dynamic team of allied eye professionals and a large group of nursing staff. Our work involves paediatric and adult strabismus assessments, cataract assessments, visual fields (Goldmann and Humphrey), corneal topography (Pentacam), OCT, Optos, and general ophthalmic duties, along with auditing and research practices.
