About the Role
As the Assistant Cafe Manager (2IC), you will play a crucial role in supporting our Cafe Manager and collaborating with our team to ensure the smooth operation of the café. You will be integral in upholding our high service standards and creating an exceptional experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work closely with various teams to support our business goals and deliver excellent guest outcomes. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily café operations and managing staff effectively.
You will ensure compliance with health and safety standards while driving service excellence throughout our café. Additionally, you will manage stock levels, maintain supplier relationships, and lead our café promotions as well as our social media presence.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a candidate with a genuine passion for hospitality and a proactive, collaborative mindset. A minimum of two years' experience in a similar leadership role is essential, along with experience working in a fast-paced café environment as a Barista.
You should possess strong café and customer service skills, along with a willingness to learn our specific methods of coffee preparation. We value individuals who enjoy engaging with customers on various topics and bring a positive attitude to the team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is the ability to work confidently within a close-knit and supportive team. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
