About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead our operations. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for those who excel at building team culture, enhancing operational systems, and delivering outstanding guest experiences. In this position, you will have full oversight of the venue, including both front and back of house operations, with the potential for growth into a multi-site General Manager role as we expand.
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Lead by example on shift, while mentoring and training the front of house team and supporting back of house coordination.
- Foster a collaborative team culture and elevate our service standards.
- Handle various operational tasks including forecasting, budgeting, rostering, costing, inventory management, and bar optimizations.
- Oversee stock control, maintenance, sales reporting, and training schedules.
- Manage recruitment processes, performance reviews, and career development alongside senior leadership.
- Coordinate respectfully with the kitchen team, including those with limited English proficiency.
- Support marketing initiatives and promotions aimed at attracting new and repeat customers.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven leadership and hospitality management experience, ideally in venues with a team of up to 20 staff members.
- Confidence in coaching both front of house and back of house teams.
- Strong skills in cost control, reporting, and operational systems, with a keen attention to detail.
- A willingness to lead from the floor rather than simply managing from the sidelines.
- An openness to learning about Chinese cuisine and cocktails, with no prior experience necessary.
- A proactive, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset.
