About the Role We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our expanding operations in Victoria, Australia. This hands-on position will involve overseeing the continuous operation of our plant and equipment during the night shift. As a leader, you will guide a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring both preventive maintenance and prompt responses to breakdowns in a dynamic processing environment. Your leadership responsibilities will include: - Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of workers and those under your supervision. - Identifying and controlling workplace hazards while promoting and enforcing safe work practices. - Actively participating in and supporting the recovery and return-to-work process for any injured team members. - Ensuring full compliance with all Work Health and Safety policies and procedures. Requirements Qualifications & Experience - Relevant Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical. - A minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a maintenance team in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) setting. - Strong background in industrial electrical maintenance and a solid understanding of industrial electronics and high-speed manufacturing. - Experience in meat or food processing environments is preferred. - Familiarity with PLC programming (if electrical) and MEX maintenance systems is desirable. Skills & Attributes - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Effective time management and organizational skills. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings (if electrical). - High level of computer literacy. - Effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills. - Strong investigative and reporting capabilities.
