Reference Number: 12891 About the Company At Fasttrack Magnum, we are dedicated to ensuring that imported vehicles comply with New Zealand's road safety standards. Based in Waltham, Christchurch, our compliance centre collaborates closely with regulatory bodies such as VINZ and NZTA to prepare vehicles for inspection, in addition to providing mechanical repairs and servicing. About the Role We are currently looking for a proactive and hands-on Operations Lead to join our team and support the daily operations of our Christchurch compliance centre. This position is perfect for someone with mechanical expertise and a strong passion for performance, teamwork, and process consistency. As the Operations Lead, you will coordinate workshop activities, support your team, and ensure a smooth operational flow. Additionally, you will serve as a key liaison between our staff, customers, and external inspectors, including VINZ, with a strong emphasis on vehicle readiness, safety, and service standards. Key Responsibilities - Support the daily operations of the compliance workshop - Work collaboratively with a team of over 15 Hoist/Trim Technicians, Mechanics, and Logistics staff - Maintain clear communication with customers while ensuring a high standard of service - Oversee the preparation of vehicles to meet NZTA and VINZ inspection standards - Build and maintain strong working relationships with inspectors - Help ensure the site remains safe and well-organized What We’re Looking For - Experience in a Workshop Lead, Coordinator, or Team Leader role (not mandatory) - Strong organizational skills with a background in mechanics or the automotive industry - Excellent communication abilities - Proficiency in using workshop software and Microsoft Office tools - A full, clean New Zealand Driver's Licence Benefits - Join a motivated and experienced team - Be part of a respected, stable, and growing business If you are a capable team leader with a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.
