BAKER We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our team at New World Kumeu, located in Kumeu, Auckland. This is a full-time permanent position, and we are excited to find the right candidate to contribute to our bakery. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for baking, icing, and decorating cakes for customer orders and displays. You will also produce a variety of other bakery items, including scones, muffins, pies, pizzas, and cookies, as required. Merchandising products effectively and ensuring proper stock rotation by monitoring best before dates will also be key aspects of your duties. Additionally, you will receive inwards goods and assist with customer service at the counter when needed. Addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints will be part of your responsibilities, as will maintaining a daily production schedule to minimize waste. You will be expected to adhere to our Health and Safety and Food Safety policies, ensuring compliance through regular cleaning of equipment and completing necessary temperature checks and traceability forms. Requirements We are looking for candidates with formal bakery training and at least one and a half years of experience in a New Zealand commercial environment. Proficiency in English is essential, and familiarity with New Zealand Food Safety and Health and Safety standards is required. Candidates should possess strong baking skills, a commitment to quality, and a customer-oriented mindset. Benefits The hourly wage for this position is $28, with a commitment to 37 hours per week.
