About the Role We are currently seeking experienced Steel Fixers for immediate and ongoing deployment across various projects nationwide. These positions are full-time and permanent, with site locations determined by project demands. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid background in structural reinforcement who are open to relocating or traveling as necessary. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering plans and drawings to accurately cut, bend, and place steel bars and mesh. You will tie rebar using appropriate techniques for different reinforcement systems and ensure that steel is securely placed within formwork before concrete is poured. Compliance with health, safety, and quality standards on-site is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently within large construction teams under tight deadlines. Skills and Experience Required To be successful in this position, you should have a minimum of three years of experience in steel fixing or reinforcing steel, whether in New Zealand or overseas. Proficiency in reading and working from technical drawings is crucial, as is possessing strong physical fitness and attention to detail. Experience in commercial, civil, or infrastructure projects is preferred, and relevant trade experience or qualifications will be advantageous. The regions include: North Island: Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington. South Island: Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, Southland.
