About the Role We are excited to announce that we have secured a new contract with the Waikato District Council for northern road maintenance and renewals. As a result, our team is expanding, and we are seeking Multi-Skilled Operators with Class 5 licenses to join our Green Team in preparation for project kick-off in July 2025. This role is based in Rangiriri and involves working across a network of approximately 1,200 kilometers of sealed and unsealed roads in North Waikato, from Huntly to Pokeno. Your responsibilities will include transporting mobile plant and equipment to various sites and performing road maintenance work. You will operate machinery such as excavators, rollers, and brooms, and you may also transport aggregate and materials using a 6-wheeler truck. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to bring the following: - Appropriate licenses, including Class 5 and WTR - Previous experience driving heavy trucks and operating a variety of machinery - Familiarity with manual Roadranger gearboxes - A hands-on approach, with a willingness to support your team in various tasks - A strong focus on health and safety for yourself, your colleagues, and the public - Flexibility, commitment, and reliability, with a readiness to work in all weather conditions - A passion for the industry and a willingness to learn and work hard Benefits We offer a competitive hourly rate with guaranteed 40 hours per week, along with many opportunities for upskilling and obtaining further licenses.
