About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced theatre nurse to join our team on a fixed-term, full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and post-registration experience working within a multi-disciplinary perioperative team.
In this role, you will demonstrate a positive attitude and possess an innovative and adaptable approach to nursing practice. Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to delivering quality, patient-centered care are essential. We value team players who stay informed about clinical practices and exhibit excellent organizational and time management skills. Please note that shifts will be rostered and rotating, with requirements for on-call coverage after hours.
About the Team/Service
The Nelson Hospital Theatre Suite comprises six operating theatres, a recovery room, a sterile services department, and an endoscopy suite. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and supportive team dedicated to providing a caring and professional environment, focused on delivering quality care and advancing nursing practice.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must be a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current APC and relevant post-registration experience in a multi-disciplinary perioperative team. You should possess a positive mindset, adaptability in your practice, and strong communication skills. A solid commitment to patient-centered care, along with excellent organizational and time management skills, is also necessary.
