About the Role
We are seeking Registered Nurses with experience in endoscopy and/or acute care to join our busy Endoscopy Suite at Nelson Hospital. In this role, you will provide compassionate care to patients before, during, and after their endoscopic procedures.
Our Endoscopy Suite features a treatment room and recovery area located in the Day Stay Unit. You will work on a rostered and rotating shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of being on call during evenings and weekends.
About the Team
You will be part of a small, dedicated team led by a Clinical Nurse Coordinator. We pride ourselves on creating a caring and professional environment that emphasizes quality patient care and extended nursing practice.
About You
We are looking for a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practicing certificate and post-registration experience, preferably in endoscopy or acute care. A commitment to competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori is essential. If you are on a journey to enhance your understanding in these areas, we encourage you to apply.
Additionally, we value experience in projects or initiatives that align with Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, particularly those incorporating Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches in healthcare settings. As a team player, you should be up to date with clinical practices, possess excellent organizational and time management skills, and demonstrate a commitment to quality care.
