About the Role
We are currently seeking experienced forklift operators to join our team at a factory located in Wigram, Christchurch. In this role, you will operate 8-tonne forklifts and will be responsible for unloading trucks and unstrapping cement bags. This position requires precision, experience, and a strong commitment to safety.
Wages for this role range from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. We offer flexible day and night shifts, with day shifts running from 6 am to 6 pm and night shifts from 6 pm to 6 am. This is a temporary assignment with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidates.

Full personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. What You Will Be Doing
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Operating 5 to 8-tonne forklifts
- Pushing cement bags on trailers
- Loading and unloading trucks with 1.5-tonne cement bags
- Adhering to safety guidelines
- Wearing appropriate face protection as required
- Keeping basic records and conducting required machinery checks
What We Require
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience in forklift operations for a minimum of six months
- A valid forklift ticket
- F endorsement and experience operating a Manitou is advantageous
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Ability to work well within a team
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
