About the Role We are currently seeking experienced forklift operators to join our team at a factory located in Wigram, Christchurch. In this role, you will operate 8-tonne forklifts and will be responsible for unloading trucks and unstrapping cement bags. This position requires precision, experience, and a strong commitment to safety. Wages for this role range from $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. We offer flexible day and night shifts, with day shifts running from 6 am to 6 pm and night shifts from 6 pm to 6 am. This is a temporary assignment with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidates. Trial hours are available immediately, and the anticipated start date is July 22, subject to slight changes. Full personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. What You Will Be Doing Your primary responsibilities will include: - Operating 5 to 8-tonne forklifts - Pushing cement bags on trailers - Loading and unloading trucks with 1.5-tonne cement bags - Adhering to safety guidelines - Wearing appropriate face protection as required - Keeping basic records and conducting required machinery checks What We Require To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements: - Proven experience in forklift operations for a minimum of six months - A valid forklift ticket - F endorsement and experience operating a Manitou is advantageous - A strong commitment to health and safety - Ability to work well within a team - Reliable transportation - Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test - All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand Why Choose Max People?
