About the Role
We are thrilled to offer an opportunity to join our Yvette Williams Retirement Village in Dunedin as a Caregiver in our Special Care Unit. This role is ideal for an experienced and compassionate individual who is passionate about providing exceptional care to residents with dementia.
The part-time position is available for Sundays and Mondays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee residents and provide engaging activities
- Follow individual care plans to deliver care that you would want for your own family members
- Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
- Utilize the latest technology, including our purpose-built care app, myRyman
- Take the time to learn about each resident’s background and what brings them joy, helping them to fully enjoy life
About You
To succeed in our supportive and caring environment, you will have:
- Experience in dementia care
- Strong empathy and outstanding communication skills
- A kind and caring demeanor
- A reliable, friendly, and professional approach
- Relevant unit standards qualification (or an equivalent qualification approved by Ryman) or a willingness to complete this within 18 months of starting
