Health Care Assistant (Hospital Level Care Unit) Ross Home, Dunedin Permanent, Part-time About the Company Presbyterian Support Otago (PSO) is a charitable trust that has been serving the community since 1906. PSO operates a well-respected network of eight care homes across Otago and offers a variety of community-based social support programs. Our services for older individuals are delivered through Enliven, where we focus on creating elder-centered communities that provide companionship, meaningful activities, purpose, and enjoyment. Ross Home, located in North Dunedin, supports up to 124 residents who require rest home level care. At PSO, we uphold values such as integrity, respect, courage, manaaki, and aroha. About the Role We are looking for a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team in the Hospital Level Care Unit. In this role, you will utilize your practical skills and compassion to support residents with daily activities, including personal care, mealtime assistance, and general care duties that contribute to their happiness and well-being. While this role can be demanding, the fulfillment derived from helping those in need and working in a supportive environment is truly rewarding. This is a permanent part-time position, with hours from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on a 4 on, 2 off rotation. Additional hours may be available by mutual agreement.
