About the Role We are seeking a qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our collaborative team within the head and neck service. In this role, you will provide high-quality care aimed at improving health outcomes for our local population, which includes a significant number of Māori and Pasifika individuals. The position offers flexibility with both part-time and full-time opportunities, ranging from 64 to 80 hours per fortnight (0.8 to 1.0 FTE). You will have the chance to develop subspecialist interests that align with our department's current services. About the Team/Service/Location Our team is well-supported, comprising a registrar, a house officer, and a clinical specialty nurse, with plans to add an additional registered nurse to enhance our team's capabilities. Our department is fully equipped to handle all aspects of modern head and neck healthcare. We maintain strong connections with allied health departments and collaborate with other specialties, as well as regional and tertiary services, to provide a comprehensive package of care. Additionally, we are involved in medical education for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Hawke's Bay is not only a great place to work but also offers an excellent work-life balance. About You To be considered for this role, applicants must be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand and hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or an equivalent qualification.
